So 1 out of 9 sets has Nebraska @ 11-1 at best?

Must be the heavily weighted "returning experience" set. The one that omits showing up every week and finishing strong.

I can see 9-3 and then lose our bowl or even 10-2 and still end up with 4 losses.

I could also see us run the table. It all depends on our consistency. If we are disciplined in the fundamentals we have the players.

It's all about the trenches. NU needs to make holes on offense and plug holes on defense.

They haven't done well in those basics the last couple of years.

The reason why I've been so pessimistic about Nebraska is that how can things change all of a sudden when we still have the same hot head as coach who loses games with his demeanor alone? I don't believe I have ever seen a team that was so undisciplined. If our team can improve in that department, there's 2 more wins per year with that alone, and that undisciplined play is a direct result of Pelini's demeanor.

Phil must have thought Nebraska would all of a sudden by some sort of miracle, magically turn into a mistake free team. Either that or he's a secret admirer of Nebraska and was hoping and praying for a miracle.

No love for the prediction?!!!

Oh well. Pelini has a reputation that still goes before him as a defensive genius and as a disciplined coach. People (especially people in the media) don't think that these kind of teams will continue from year to year.

I think this year may of changed that.

Good call HISL.

I think Steele made his prediction predicated on NU fixing the same issues so many others saw.

Huskers did better than I figured in the regular season. I had them going 9-3 because of those issues figuring the skill players on offense would make up for the poor rushing defense, turnovers, and penalties. I think they did somewhat.
