I think he did it on purpose. It was a bogus move though. The goalie didn't go for it at all, he just missed on the actual shot. The guy could have just skated in and did the same deke to his backhand to score. The fake slapshot was just for show.

But it does work on NHL10.

Definitely meant to do it. Goalie did budge too much, but he did have many holes. I woulda went 5 hole there.

Definitely intentional. It's hard to miss the puck when you're looking right at it. He also started the kicking motion with his skate before the downswing, so, you know.

Goalie didn't bite on the slapshot, but completely whiffed on the backhand. Even though the goalie didn't get out of position on the fake shot, I think it still threw him off enough that he was pretty ineffective.
