Looks like Rey M. is out for a long time.

Looks like Lamur is out for at least a few weeks.

Hobs has now floated the idea that Marvin Jones might have surgery -- That should do it for him this year.

AJ is probably out again next week at least.

Rey M. blows. Good riddance. He was terrible today....again.

Lamur stinks. No loss there. Can't get any worse.

Jones is a loss.

AJ will be back in a few.

So I saw Maualuga was hurt and kinda expected him out a little bit.

How bad was Lamur hurt on that next to last play of regulation? What did they say was wrong with him.

Marvin needs surgery on what? This last injury he sustained during practice was a twisted ankle. Since when does that require surgery?

AJ could be out one more week, but I doubt he waits that long. I bet he waits until Thursday to practice, maybe even Friday, and is ready for the game on Sunday. You know it was killing him not being out there in that close of a game.

Lamur leads the team in tackles, is our best coverage LB, and leads the LB's with passes broken up. Not sure where you are getting that non-sense from, but whatever you need to tell yourself.

Way I see it, everyone is a loss because it depletes our depth to bare bones.

I am just glad Gio didn't break his collar bone.

Lamur sucks. Leading in tackles doesn't mean shit.

I have no idea about Marvin Jones.... But when Hobs floats bad news, I tend to take it seriously. If the news is bad, he normally says nothing.... Certainly doesn't speculate that a player would need surgery if he didn't know. He's the team's director of propaganda so we should probably assume it's true.

I'm sure it was killing AJ not to be out there. Hell, the dude was standing there with a football in his hand looking like a kid that was grounded. But that's not going to make his toe heal -- If he has a turf toe type of injury, he could be out a while. He might be tough as hell, but you can't play if you can't cut and he can't cut right now.

Lamur has a funny build for a linebacker. I wonder if he just won't be very durable.

BTW -- Rey might not be a loss, but we have no depth behind him. Jason Dimache is a fine special teamer, but hasn't done dick as a linebacker. Porter is done for the year. We picked up a Saint that they didn't want for some reason or another. I don't even know who else we have. Shaffer?

I suppose Burfict is crap too then. He led the team and the NFL in tackles last year (because tackles mean squat), and he has been getting hurt this year and big penalties. We shouldn't have given him that 5 million a year, he blows too.

Uh, no. There's a difference there. Burfict tackles for minimal gains. Lamur tackles players 7+ yards down the field.

You can't take the tackle stat at face value. Plus, if Burfict had not been hurt Lamur would not be leading the team in tackles anyway. I had a great view of Lamur today. He's no good. He's a special teamer and nothing more.

He is 6'4" tall and weighs 240 pounds. What about that size says he doesn't have a good build for a LB? Didn't he used to be a safety in college or something like that? He is very athletic for a big guy. I tend to think he will be alright.

And made a tackle 5 yards deep in the backfield today too. He makes tackles 7 yards down the field because HE IS THE COVERAGE LB DUDE!

Supposedly they cut his ass because he is a moron and doesn't like to show up for film study and meetings. Quality fella that guy is.

He seems thin to me. I could be wrong. But he already missed one season with a shoulder issue and he now has another shoulder issue. Time will tell.

Green is likely not going to be much use to us this season.

injuries will be our excuse for not making playoffs... again.

No, they will be our excuse for not winning a playoff game yet again. I think we make the playoffs, but our defense is already starting to look much worse and we know how the offense does when the lights come on. So if the defense can't keep us in the game through some mistakes, we will yet again lose another playoff game.

Fair enough.

but there are enough teams in the AFC that should beat us out for the 2 wild card spots. unfortunately for them, 2 of them are in the same division as Denver, who will likely win that division.

Baltimore is clearly the favorite to win our division now, with the Browns now emerging as a possible wild card contender, they are playing more consistently than us and have an easier schedule, I would guess.

Miami and Texas are also possibilities for WC

A lot can happen between now and then, but I suspect most of our hopes will be dashed before the playoffs get here. we can't withstand many more injuries, but those injuries are still going to come.

I am not happy with the results of the game yesterday, and I think that the lack of win in the last second is what is causing some over reaction here. If we make that FG, less overreaction would be occuring right now.

Burfict had one of his worst games in recent memory, the pass rush was worthless, we kept falling for the fake pitch to the RB, and we self-destructed with penalties yesterday.

I tend to think we are not a team that is going to rack up 100 yards in penalties more less nearly 140. We got smashed by NE, and everyone expected us to dominate Carolina like other AFC North teams did. Well, every team is different from week to another. Guys get hurt, guys get healthy, some guys have great games, others do not who are expected to, and TO's cause momentum shifts.

Baltimore is playing much better, Cleveland is a surprise, but I still think with a healthier squad, we are the team to beat in this division still until proven otherwise.

We are still in first place in our division, we are still 1-0 in the division where as Baltimore has lost to us in their home field, and Cleveland has lost 2, one to Pitt and Baltimore. We are still in the drivers seat, but we need to get some guys healthy to help out.
