We all know the saga of Cory Gearrin, but he's not the only one who's been bad with inherited runners. Consider Will Smith:
5/10 - Bottom of 5th, one out, runners at 1st and 2nd. He gives up a single that scores the lead runner. He strands the 2nd runner.
5/17 - Bottom of 7th, two outs, runner at 1st. He get a quick out to end the inning and strands the runner.
5/23 - Bottom of 5th, two outs, runner at 1st. He get a quick out to end the inning and strands the runner.
5/25 - Bottom of 7th, no outs, runners at 1st and 2nd. He gets a sacrifice that advances the runners, walks the next batter and then gives up a 2 run double, allowing both runners inherited to score. Gearrin comes in and does the same to him.
5/28 - Bottom of 6th, one out, runner at 1st. Runner steals 2nd, and goes to 3rd on error. Smith gets last two outs without the runner scoring.
5/29 - Bottom of 5th, one out, runner at 1st. Gives up double, then sacrifice fly to allow inherited runner to score. Gets out of inning without his runner scoring.
6/6 - Top of 5th, no outs, runners at 1st & 2nd. Gets three outs, allowing no runs to score.
6/12 - Bottom of 8th, no outs, runners at 1st & 2nd. Strikes out the side, allowing no runs to score.
6/13 - Bottom of 8th, one out, runner at 2nd. Gets 1st out before giving up run scoring double. Gets two more out without his runner scoring.
6/22 - Top of 9th, one out, runners at 2nd & 3rd. Gets 2nd out and then walks the bases loaded. Gives up 2 run single, allowing both inherited runners to score. Gives up another run of his own before 3rd out is recorded.

That is ten times he's come in with inherited runners and has only been successful in stranding all runners half of those appearances. I don't know how the rest of the bullpen has been in this scenario but I would guess that there is a problem here.
