Day to Day
Just thought I'd srat a thread where anything Patriots that doesn't warrant a thread of it's own can be discussed or just thrown out trherefor thought. Remember, it's someone's opinion and may not be based in fact. Sort of like God. Some believe, some don't but to each his own....
Anyway............
I got thinking about why Gronk decided to retire because no one will probably ever know for sure and I have theory..................What if he went to see his back specialist to get a checkup before the spring OTAs begin? The doc says to him thtaif he wants to be able to walk upright when he's 39, he might to consider doing something else other than professional football. He's not going to tell the world that his doctor says he should give it up, he's telling us that he's making the decision. The I hear the name Jason Whitten. My brain starts to ponder why Whitten took a yar off completely and is now coming back to play for the Cowboys. Why? He had a good TV gig and has more money than is really necessary to live comfortably for the rest of his life, why come back? Because he gave his body a year to recover and get well. Now he's ready to play the game again.
Maybe Rob Gronkowski needs a year away from the hitting and being hit. Maybe a year's rest will allow his body to completely recover from 15 straight years of abuse. Maybe a year away will allow him to come back and play like the Gronk of 2012or 2013 for another five years and he'll destroy all of the recordfor TEs ever established.
Maybe he'll become a movie star like the Rock and never walk on the firldagain except to the cheers of fans who will always love who they think is the greatest ever to play the position.
So I ask myself the same question that a lot of people have probably asked themselves...........
Is Rob Gronkowski really done playing professional football?
