In April, MLB umpires ejected TEN (instances) players and or managers over ball and strike calls.

The MLB umpires were wrong in SEVEN of them.

TWO WORDS ................PITCH TRACKER

They have the technology ..........USE IT

Computerized ball and strike calls.........DO IT

This Braves-Mets series was arguably the worst series I've ever witnessed from home plate umpires. Absolutely atrocious calls for and against both teams.

Seems there is a lot more venom directed at them than I can ever recall. From fans, players etc.

This jackass is jealous of Angel. I guess he figures Angel won’t be around much longer, and sees a niche that needs to be filled.

This guy went from just another face in the umpire crowd to right up there with Hernandez, Buckner, Diaz, Culbreth, etc as one of the REALLY bad umps in the game.

Well done, sir. Well done.

There is too much traction for this idea for it not to happen at this point.
I think it's time. I watched a game the other day where the same player struck out on 3 straight called strikes that were not strikes. The first two high, the last one low. Even if the errors are random and it "evens out over time" if it happens too often it is not good.

If we were somehow dealing with “competitive umpiring”, than I would understand the “human aspect” argument. But the strike zone is not a subjective thing. It is specifically spelled out in the rule book and technology is at least almost there to measure it accurately.

I am a big time “old-school” fan. I am very reluctant to accept changes to the game (DH is the death of the game), but this is something that I think is such a no-brainer, it firmly belongs on my lawn.

The Ump who calls balls & strikes stands in the dumbest place to see balls & strikes.

That what always sticks in my craw.
