Nebraska played an ineffective NIU offense or else the defense neutralized the NIU offense.

NIU did lose to Boston College.

Nebraska has a chance to look good on paper. Rutgers and Illinois have the two worst offenses in the B1G after three weeks.

Rutgers Total Offense is rated 93 Rutgers relies on the run
Illinois Total Offense is rated 120 Illinois doesn't have an identity

With Rutgers, Nebraska will find out if the Nebraska rush defense is good, or just shows that the pass defense is bad.

Total Defense wow, dropped the average over 100 yards. Let's hope it is actual improvement.

after week 2 122. Nebraska 531.5 yards
after week 3 92. Nebraska 425.3 yards

Passing Yards

after week 2 128. Nebraska 390.0ypg
after week 3 123. Nebraska 302.7 yards

Rushing Defense actually in the top 50!!!!

after week 2 70. Nebraska 141.5 ypg
after week 3 46. Nebraska 122.7 ypg

Team Sacks

after week 2 117. Nebraska, Purdue, and Northwestern 0.50 per game
after week 3 105. Nebraska tied with a bunch of teams 1.00 per game

Tackles for loss tied with UCONN and UCF, Purdue is the worst

after week 2 127. Nebraska and Purdue 2.0 per game
after week 3 126. Nebraska 3.0 per game

Opponents passing efficiency more improvement

after week 2 111. Nebraska 148.83
after week 3 97. Nebraska 141.99

Scoring Defense not truly reflective as the Pick 6s counted

after week 2 118. Nebraska 39.0 ppg
after week 3 100. Nebraska 33.0 ppg

Just like last year teams are abandoning the run because the passing is so easy. NIU was a horrid offense with a backup qb but in the end our D couldn't stop it when the game was on the line. Oregon laid the blueprint, pass a bunch to run up the score then use the run game to run out the clock, Lee and DL go into panic mode slinging it and before we know it games over
