Always weird when a Cy Young caliber pitcher just falls off, but it looks like Toronto got the last bit of his dominance. 4+ ERA since arriving in Boston, and it'll only climb if this keeps up.
its weird. bad elbow, hit 97 last night. looked great. then his next start he will give up 5 ER and cry on twitter. never wanted him here.Always weird when a Cy Young caliber pitcher just falls off, but it looks like Toronto got the last bit of his dominance. 4+ ERA since arriving in Boston, and it'll only climb if this keeps up.
The most encouraging thing about last night, 0 walks and low fastball usage. Coming into that game, he had used his fastball 60% of the time, because he couldn't control his cutter/changeup/curveball. Last night, 42 fastballs, 70 "non-fastballs". 1 walk in the last 2 outings after surrendering 11 in his previous 3.its weird. bad elbow, hit 97 last night. looked great. then his next start he will give up 5 ER and cry on twitter. never wanted him here.
7 IP 3 ER ill gladly take it every time he plays
Well, sure... I made this post when he was off to another rocky start. Although, you're being pretty disingenuous if you think he's pitching great. Worst ERA of his career at 4.61... worst K/9 since 2013 at 7.9. Giving up 3.5 BB per 9, and 1.5 HR's per 9. All career worsts for him. Wasn't much better last season either.
WRONG! Era was not 4+ last year. Suck it Dirt.On top of a 4+ ERA in 2016, which is nice
For a guy you arent paying to be your ace
I think you're being pretty "I'm going to pretend you wrote something you didn't" because I don't see how the poster even implied that he was pitching great.Well, sure... I think you just had that conversation in your head. From what I can tell, he didn't say that at all.No...
He was being "I'm going to use the anecdotal evidence towards everything being fine with Price that we saw tonight, and ignore the large body of work we've seen."
And I was being all like; "Yo maaaan... why you acting all like these other starts never happened and shiznit?"

Soxfan said price should have won the Cy Young last season
Thats what Im hearing
I think you're being pretty disingenuous if you think David Price is the worst pitcher in all of baseball history. And the original conversation you thought I had... You had that in your head. I said "IF"... "IF you think he is pitching well, you are being disingenuous." I didn't know what his exact feelings were. I just know he responded to a thread about Price's clear decline, by pointing out that he pitched well in one outing. Which had nothing to do with the full context of what the thread was about.
The thread is clearly about Price and a possible decline, not one night.
I tried making light of your snarky little reply, by joking around... but now you're just being a whiney little prick.
Sorry you spent the house on a fucking has-been. Doesn't mean you have to get so defensive over someone talking to your little buddies over it.
Wrong. I need Dirt more than anyone need's anybody. Also, do you wipe his ass for him too?
I'm pretty sure he can speak for himself, and elaborate further on his thoughts. He's a big boy.

And nowhere in his post is the notion that he's been pitching great all year, which is what you tried to infer that he was saying.Wow... False Equivalence much?
Nowhere in the thread is the notion of that mentioned prior to you bringing it up. So, what you're trying to do here, just falls flat on it's face.
The title and original post in this thread is clearly pertaining to a possible decline in Price's pitching. That was very clearly the context of this conversation, from the start.
