Hard to tell, some of the players looked like they were in shock because he ran the practice yesterday told the team what time to be back at the arena to catch the bus and went home for a couple of hours and Darcy went to Ruffs house and gave him the word.

So they could still be like "what the hell happened" or come out like "It's about fucking time" (I think Vanek will) and come out flying.

Supposedly while practice was happening the top brass were meeting and decided to can him. That's what Regier said in his presser at least was that the decision hadn't been made when they did the practice.

And Rolston apparently led them through a short game day skate today at the ACC.

He is also more player friendly and they said if you want to question his ability look what he did with the Amerks when he got them into the playoffs even though the Sabres had decimated his roster because of injuries and Darcy did nothing to help beef up his team. They wanted him because he knows this team and they are NOT conceding this season, they want to get into the playoffs.

Time will tell and we should give him a bit of time. There will be up's and downs but it had to be done and I was telling a friend that the first time they have a bad game and some assholes say "There you go, you wanted change this is what you get" better not be within swinging distance of me because I will lay the fucker out.

I don't doubt that he's a good coach. I just think this team needs too much work from a personnel standpoint.

Wow, I don't know how these guy's can concentrate on tonight's game, they have had mics in their faces all day long. Vanek was cool he said they had their up's and downs but respects Ruff and wishes him well.

But this has been insane, Rolston has had the same thing but he impresses me because he is so calm.

Ruff told them while they were on the team bus, and just by listening to Vanek he was genuinely surprised that Ruff was let go. I mean Vanek has been stellar this year So I don;t think there was any bad blood between the 2 of them
