For forwards and defensemen, I think you need to consider player's styles.....forwards, you need a great set up man, a great rusher, and maybe a tougher, more stay home guy. That's why a line like Delvecchio, Howe, Mahovlich clicked so well and so quickly after The Big M was traded to Detroit. Defensemen, if you have a great offensive rushing-type player, you need a stay back guy.

Please bear in mind that this is only a suggestion, but I think you might want a back-up goalie in case your team were to play the Wings.

I might replace Yzerman with Howe. I know that both Howe and Richard played right wing, but I think that you could move Howe to left wing without any problem and he could also serve as the policeman on that line.
