I will be there and may have to try one but am guessing would have to cut it in half and share it with someone and try to eat the damn thing before is freezes from the cold weather.

Packers sell 3.5 pound 'Big Game Burger' at Lambeau - NFL.com

Here is a post about a gigantic, absurd, strangely beautiful, potentially offensive food item soon to be offered at Lambeau Field.

It's called the "Big Game Burger", a 3.5-pound testament to beef, cheese, cholesterol and digestive system destruction and it will be on sale during the Packers' Sunday playoff showdown with the Cowboys. Will Brinson of CBSSports.com procured the ingredients of the great beast:

» "Big Mother" pretzel bun
» 1/2 pound of ground venison
» 1/2 pound of ground bacon
» 1/2 pound of certified Angus beef
» Crispy fried onions
» Jalapeño smoked bacon
» Lettuce (and you thought this wasn't healthy)
» Tomato (six slices)
» Pickles
» Secret sauce
» Housemade jalapeño cheese

All that can be yours for the sneaky affordable price of $20. I reached out to Around The NFL writer and staunch vegetarian Marc Sessler with a choice: Would you rather eat at least 50 percent of the Big Game Burger or 12 buffalo wings. (Marc is so disgusted by wings that I've become self-conscious eating them in front of him at local taverns.)

His answer: "I'm going with this chaos-in-a-bun creation. It probably has more flavor. And I'm not -- with my teeth -- directly carving into a dead animal's tiny legs."

Slap that testimony on a billboard, Lambeau!

$20 seems so cheap compared to the price of a reasonable burger. That thing could feed about 7 people.

There was a time I could eat double bacon cheeseburgers and not even care. Then, I hit 30. And that was a very long time ago. I think they were still wearing leather helmets.

What surprises me is the price for that and a beer at the stadium. That's damn reasonable considering the prices in other venues. Is that something to do with not having a greedy owner? I envy Green Bay for that situation. You will never ever have to worry about losing your team. Or being held hostage till you build a new stadium.

A normal, small burger and a 14 oz beer are about $8 each. I think that's pretty comparable to a lot of stadiums. This thing seems absurdly cheap but it's probably because it's mostly a gimmick.

They posted the menu and prices for the new stadium in Santa Clara. I thought it was a joke but apparently not. You will need to take out a loan to feed the family at the game there. Let me see if I can find it. Okay, only about 20% higher. Its the seat licenses that cost.

The concessions price increase comes after large ticket cost hikes. Overall, the cost for two face-value nosebleed seats, a couple of beers and a pair of hot dogs at Levi's will cost $243, up from $88.50 at Candlestick. That's on top of a new seat license program in Santa Clara that runs $2,000 to $80,000 per fan for the right to get face-value tickets.

A 3.5 lbs burger is just way too big but it looks good otherwise.

I'd definitely be interested to see how the venison, beef, and bacon patty tastes.

Only if it's organic and the meat is from free range animals, I like to be health conscious.
