Kaep looks fine as a starter, especially this week.

Do not overestimate the importance of Jordan Reed for Cousins though. He is clearly their best receiving option, but they have enough weapons and Cousins does a great job spreading the ball around. I do not think his stats will be significantly worse without Reed.

I would probably start Kaep this week regardless of Reed's status because of the matchups. Next week though, back to Kirk again regardless of Reed's status.

Why do you like Cousins for week 14? It seems Philly has been brutally tough at home, are they banged up or something?

kaep has been on fire (fantasy wise) since his return.
I'd roll with him as well.

bears - jets - falcons - rams.......um, yes please!

it'll be trickier come wk 15 and 16, when cousins gets panthers and bears.

Because the Redskins quietly have one of the best offenses in the league and Cousins has been lights out since about week 7.

They do, and he has. but...(there's always a but), outside of Minnesota, he's also faced crap defenses that entire stretch..and Minny held him to a respectable, yet unspectacular 260 and 2. @ARZ, and @Philly seem like they could be significant speed bumps

Philly is no Minnesota.

Cousins looked shaky at the beginning of the year, but he is playing like a legit franchise QB now. Not sure who Kaepernick faces in week 14, but unless it is a bottom 5 opponent, I would start Cousins.

True, and they play the Jets, currently #22 in passing yards allowed per game..I'd probably go Cousins too.

Look I understand Cousins has a lot of weapons and that in almost any game he should have a high floor for total yardage. What I don't know is if they can continue to hook up these long passing td's, so my concern about Reed is mainly to do with red zone situations where I think he's a big difference maker.

No I didn't watch MNF and that's why I asked if the Eagles were banged up; they've been really tough at home with only that one exception.
But I was presuming the person I was replying to was comparing Cousins' schedule with Kaep's and it turned out tlance hadn't even looked up who SF was playing week 14 to compare at the time of my reply.

The last five games, Rodgers is averaging @ 32 pts per week(depending on your scoring settings,but based on standard)
And Cousins is @ 28.5

That's not a huge difference, but is obviously not Cousins beating Rodgers

Was more speaking about pure football, where Cousins has been on fire. Named offensive player of November. Rodgers has been struggling and he shredded Philly's D.

So to suggest Cousins will somehow struggle vs the same D Rodgers just shredded is silly. Reed being out could obviously have an effect. How big? I don't know.
