Series Thread: If it truly is "Commanders" what alternatives can we use as AKA's?

Thus far the only referenced aka for "Commanders" that I've seen or read about is "Commies," and that simply won't do. What play-on, or aka to "Commanders" can we use to effectively drown out the worse named references before they catch on?

Let me be the first to introduce "Commando(s)" as an aka and play-on option. Any others?

Unfortunate thing is, one of these is likely to stick. My guess is that it's going to be "Commies" the current leader in the social clubhouse. There is good news in having to wear and own that mantle in that its negative connotation(s) may force another name change! #Redwolvesstilllive

Disclaimer: I think the following idea is pretty terrible.

Around where I luve, there are a lot of teams that have mascots that end in ”-ders:”

Raiders
Spiders
Invaders
Crusaders

almost all of them have fans that shorten their names to that last syllable, as in “lets go ‘drrs!”

To me, that always seemed fucking stupid, but maybe the kids these days think its no big deal.


What do the raiders fans call their team? The silver and black? Raider nation?

My vote is for “DCFC!” Probably because its cool as hell when the whole stadium shouts that and also it rolls off the tongue easily.
