I would rather have a bad right-handed QB than a good left-handed QB

Most of the good lefty QBs go on to pitch and given the contracts that starting pitchers get in the MLB, I don't really blame them.

Left-handed football QB's do not get scholarships for sports that they do not play. Maybe way, way back in the day.

Honestly, the whole point is moot. There aren't any good LH QB's right now and a lot of bad RH QB's for that matter. Take out the 5 guys nearing the end of their careers and there's a handful of good ones, a few pretty good ones and a bunch of meh.

I get that. You have to re-design your offense around a lefty and unless he's a sure thing, that is never a good idea.

But I think that if there was a stud lefty that was completely committed to football, he could be that guy.

Yeah I stayed lefty and "left" being catholic also and that was part of the reason.
And sadly I do have one of those stories during CCD I did the sign of the cross with my left hand and the nun ran over and smacked me on the back of the head telling me I would burn in hell for that.

My Grandma definitely wasn't happy when my mom was the only one of 5 kids that "Went Presbyterian". She's also one of two that hasn't been divorced.

Honestly, there are too many awesome lefties that I know for it to be a bad thing.

He's right. Quite a few strong armed righties get pushed that way too, but lefties are more sought after and anyone who has size and a power left arm is highly sought after and given more chances to make majors level select and HS teams.
