if at the start of the season, you put $100 down on St. Louis, Nashville, Phoenix, and Los Angeles being the final four teams in the Western Conference.

I'm no hockey fan but I know a little geography. How did Nashville and St. Louis get into the Western Conference? Serious lack of western teams?

It would be interesting if someone could find what the odds were at the start of the season for those four teams making it. I'm not a gambler but I would think the payoff would be pretty damn good.

I'd love to see a consolation tourney between the Canucks - Wings - Pens - Hawks.
guess that's what the World Championships are for
Couldn't find the Vegas odds, but have TSN's odds to win western conference-posted June 16/2011
Los Angeles 20-1
Nashville- 25-1
Phoenix- 40-1
St.Louis 45-1
I heard Vegas called it the "Ville Leino" odds, because you would stand to make a lot of money without actually having to play hockey.
Christ,San Jose must really suck if you're going to throw an eastern conference team in there. lol
yeah. no offense to the SJ brethren on here, but SJ has not been an exciting team all year.
hell, if Boston bows out tomorrow, I'd sub them in for Vancouver in the fictional tourney.
