Sort of. Had to keep the conferences balanced, St. Louis is further West. Nashville kind of got stuck there being an expansion.

NHL has the best layout of divisions and conferences of any major sport. Dallas is in the East?

Yes seeing as Columbus, Detroit, and Chicago are all "Western" teams as well.

It would be interesting if someone could find what the odds were at the start of the season for those four teams making it. I'm not a gambler but I would think the payoff would be pretty damn good.

You never know before the season what will happen. A bunch of people I used to work with won some good $$ betting on the Pats winning the SB prior to the 2001/2002 season. I think the odds were something like 50-1.

No offense taken, nobody knows this better than we do. What was offensive was watching the Sharks playoff performance this year. Yikes.
