Draft grades for Bears' selection of Roquan Smith

We all know how pessimistic and dismissive the local media can be. Nice to see a bunch of positive reactions for a change.

I know I bounced around different players leading up to the draft, but Smith was who I ultimately wanted draft night. He could be a special player. I’m ecstatic that the bears got him. I truly believe that smith will be one of, if not, the best Non-QB player from this draft. You know at least one of the QBs from this draft is going to light the bro on fire. I think it’ll be Rosen.

Same here. As I mentioned in another post my emotional side was ruling my thought process, but my logical side kept slipping in there and whispering in my ear that Smith was the wiser choice, at least in the short term. Maybe 2,3,4 years down the road Edmunds will emerge as the overall better player, but I slept quite comfortably last night with our selection.

It's impossible to hate this pick, as it seems to be so safe. Everyone loves this kid and his floor seems to be quite high.

Not sure what anyone could criticize about it.
