Wishing you the best because Peraza is quickly becoming my favorite Dodger.

Plus he got a hit against Bumgarner and he's already stolen 3B twice. I was lucky enough to be there at Dodger Stadium to watch him steal his first two bases in the bigs on Saturday.

Not only did we give up our top prospect, we give up Alex Wood to get a 30 year old unproven Cuban.

With all the other moves Hart made, this one was just straight up ridiculous.

I'm convinced he didn't have his glasses on and thought it read "20 year old Hector Olivera" instead of 30. Only logical explanation to do something that dumb

I want to see what Olivera can do next year before judging this trade. I liked Wood, but with all the young arms Hart acquired, I can see him being expendable.

I really like what Hart has done rebuilding this organization, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one (for a awhile).

To be fair, Hart is saving a butt-ton of money in all this. Olivera's $28mill is like pennies, especially the way it's spread out. He doesn't need to be an All-star to justify that amount. If he does end up being an All-star, that contract is an absolute bargain.

Also worth noting: the Dodgers flipped Peraza (and two other minor leaguers) to the Reds to get Frankie Montas (on the DL with rib surgery), Micah Johnson (in AAA), and Trayce Thompson (doing a decent job as an extra outfielder on the 25-man roster).

The Dodgers could've elected to get Todd Frazier in this trade, but went for the prospects from the White Sox.
