Every 10-20 clicks on links I get redirected to find-all-you-want.com

I'm very much a tech novice so please spell things out for me with shiny objects and bright colors.

I tried Googling it but all I could find was results for the "google redirect virus" and I'm not sure it's the same thing so I don't want to follow any walkthrough based on that virus if it's not the same thing I have.

I've also run Malwarebites and Microsoft Security Essentials scans multiple times with no results.

Smart people, HALP!

Try malwarebytes antimalware from safe mode (often finds stuff not found in full load scans). Reboot and press F8 until you are prompted and select safe mode and run it from there.

Try any of the following:
Rkill
TDSSKiller
HitmanPro
RogueKiller
AdwCleaner

All available for free from here:
Windows Downloads

Try those in order.

Should have added Norton power eraser as well
https://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx

There are other free tools and I'm sure others will add to that list, however something there will probably take care of it for you.

Thanks, I'll let you know if anything seems to work.

Should I run any of the other programs in safe mode as well or is that just a malwarebytes thing?

Sounds like it might be similar to a problem I had a few weeks ago. I started a thread on the general board asking how to fix the problem,. Someone suggested uninstalling any programs that had recently been installed on my machine. I found about six such programs that had been installed the day I discovered the problem, uninstalled them, restarted the machine, and the problem seems to be fixed.

Podunkparte, once you've gotten rid of the redirect, get sandboxie and use it when on the internet. Just delete content on a regular bases and you'll never have to worry about things like redirects again. Wizard was to one to get me started with it and I must say, I just swear by it now. Here's the link.

Sandboxie - Sandbox software for application isolation and secure Web browsing

Everyone on SportsHoopla should be using this IMO.

Spybolt
SuperAntiSpyware
Browser Hijack Retaliator.

Some others worth trying.

Glad that worked for you and hopefully whoever told you to try that also suggested you patch your OS (if you haven't done updates or don't have them being done automatically) and run full anti spyware/anti virus scans.

Anything that set that kind of stuff up almost certainly opened back doors and downloaded other crapware on your machine.

Harold is right about sandboxie. I still mostly only use it to test out suspicious files, but I know a few people who browse in it full time. 100% protection from anything the internet throws your way because every part of your experience is virtualized. The only pain is when you actually really do want things you have to tell it to actually really save it/install it or it too is virtualized and would be lost if you roll back sandboxie for some reason.

Yeah, I was reading that thread the other night while researching my problem. It sounds perfect for me once I get this crap gone.

Safe Mode malwarebytes didn't help so I'll keep trying the other options.

I did see advice about deleting recent downloads but I checked my programs and didn't find any that were recently loaded. I also don't really trust myself to recognize things on there that aren't innocent but have names I wouldn't recognize. Still I don't think I found anything that was obviously the culprit.

Tried Rkill, TDSSkiller, then HitmanPro thus far. The issue was still there after the first two but Hitman found a lot more issues than the other two and I just rebooted after that scan. Everything seems faster right now, which is one good sign but I'm gonna try to recreate the redirect to see if it's still there.

Haven't been redirected yet but that doesn't mean it's not coming. I'll keep an eye out on that.

However, since running HitmanPro everything is running much faster. It just feels cleaner and uninhibited. This is something us non-tech savvy people are always looking for but never know how to ask for. Something to speed things up and clean out the pipes so to speak.

Thanks Wiz!
