Evidently Urban Meyer was supposed to fire Zach Smith even though he wasn't charged or convicted, but it's a perfectly good excuse for JoePa.

Personally, I think Zach should have been fired because he was an embarrassment to the university long before any of his marital problems became public knowledge, but that's just me but I don't blame Meyer for not firing him. His biggest weakness was keeping coaches who under-performed because of personal relationships.
