I have a lot of turkeys on my place, but it's 3 hours from Lincoln and 4 from Omaha.

nothing like killing some flying skunks I'll be up here in SD dusting off a couple up here. With a good old Kimber .22-250 gonna try and mark one down over 300 yards this year. Good old 60 grain bear claws do the job. Yea calling them is fun but I don't want to deal with the headache. Picking out an old tom and dropping the hammer at 300 is just as fun.

want me to come kill 2?

Maybe. I do this commercially so if I have an open weekend, I'll let you come for free. I just had a couple of guys from Florida book a weekend yesterday.

My grandpa was friends with someone way up north and we hunt on his land, even after he died.. It's pretty good for turkey and deer and is about 3 blocks from the Devil's Nest if you know where that is... it would be a lot easier if it was just legal to hunt on farmer's land.. it's not like you can damage the crop...

Bought 40 acres in Arkansas fall of 2015. Spent a bit of time up there - mostly trees and some big hills in a very rural area. Hunting camps all around my place.

Camped out there last month and woke up to what had to be 30-40 turkey all around me. I was surrounded. I had seen some off the road on the way in last year, but this was nuts.

When I woke up in that tent that morning I felt like I was surrounded. My dog was like wtf is all that noise? Sounded like a turkey coup

Looks like an Eastern in the pic. Wasn't sure if you had Rio's or Merriam's as well.

Eastern yes :thumb:

I grew up in Illinois so that's all I've seen

I had 83 hens and 17 Gobblers on a feeder the last of deer season. I have three flocks that stay on us I imagine 200 birds total.
I cannot wait for spring I love calling them.
