To answer your question, I'd try 1 for 1.
But after week 6, Hyde was a dud, and Coleman was serviceable.
He may not be as keen on Hyde with Coleman in hand.

He acted like he’d do Hyde for Coleman straight up. He is hesitant to deal Coleman while holding onto Freeman though because he’s made of glass.

Sounds like it's a win win for both sides.

Wondering if he’s a better long-term play than Hyde. Hyde is largely touchdown dependent and doesn’t catch many balls and I feel like and I worry they may look to hand the ball to Chubb soon. But maybe that’s overstated.

The reverse is equally as plausible. It doesn't really change your roster. To make a difference, it's gotta be Hyde+ for an absolute better option. Freeman is banged up, yes, but are you banking on that to last all season?

Chubb isn't getting a workload that suggests a change is coming in their backfield, imo.

Long term - I think yes. 'Word' is Coleman will want good money next yr and ATL is paying Freeman big bucks. Ito is likely the long term "Coleman" there.
But don't sell Hyde short. He had the second (maybe 3rd) most RB receptions last yr. Different team those - one that didn't just pay Duke a fist full of money to do just that - - and he didn't have a high talent level rook sitting behind him..
