Sorry to make 2 Nebraska basketball threads in the same day

Nebraska won 70-56 over TCU to move to 8-2.......7-0 at home. Defense was again outstanding. Overall Nebraska just plain dominated.....it really shouldn't have been as close as it turned out to be.

Nebraska's last 4 out of conference games are against teams with a 2-5 record, 1-8 record, 1-9 record, and then the other team is North Dakota........if we don't have a 12-2 record going into conference play I will shit myself.

Today's win is actually huge for our overall record as we now could easily make the NCAA tourney with 7 conference wins and a 19 win overall record.

Oh yea one more thing........USC (the team we beat earlier this year) beat #20 Texas by 17 points

Well you missed a pretty good performance by Nebraska.......dropped in 10 three-pointers. Hell our point guard Jeter even threw down a dunk.

8 out of 10 games this year we have held our opponents under 60 points........that is pretty good, even against some bad teams, still good. That is also why we're ranked 14th out of 346 teams in scoring defense.

We've been here before and folded in Big XII play. Need at least 7 Big XII wins to go tourney..

The fact that we are the 4th tallest team in the country this year, and Diaz packed on 30lbs and appears to be throwing his weight around a little this year, gives me some hope that we can compete in Big 12 play this year.

I actually started a thread after the Vandy game and said we won't make it..........but I was just having some sort of a panick-reaction after blowing a good lead over a great team.

We are also a way better team now than we were then though.............against Vandy we didn't make one 3-pointer.........now we're draining them. Shit we held Vanderbilt to 59 points in that game.........the next lowest they've been held to is 71 this year.
