Last game of the regular season. And, a lot is on the line...

A win today and WVU finishes #2 in the Big 12. A win today helps build the resume for a 2 seed in the Dance.

And, a win today would be Coach's 900th!

Huggs finally got that #900 last night. Or... should I say... early this morning?

To be honest, I only watched one of Morehead State's games. Last week I used ESPN+ to watch their OVC Championship win over Belmont. Belmont obviously isn't as athletic as we are, so Morehead St took better care of the ball. But, for the season... they were prone to TO's.

Win and advance. Onto the round of 32. An old opponent... SU awaits.

I live in the 'Cuse. I'm hoping for some bragging rights. Unfortunately for me, I haven't been able to do so for years now...

This season was really lost when we lost Oscar and Cottrell went down. Give credit to Huggs for reinventing the team with just Culver. Culver never looked the same after his illness and we needed bigs to pack in the zone and open up the outside shots.

Deuce is the real deal but needs to become more consistent. He needs to show that he is the best player on the court every game. This team lacked the win it in the end characteristic. Too many games that we could have won, were let go. Close losses became a habit that could not be broken come tournament time.

If the pieces stay together, who knows maybe next year.

As everyone on here knows I am one of Huggins biggest critics...but I thought this year was one of his best coaching jobs....if Noah Cottrell was available...this team would still be playing.....this team needed another presence around the rim....but tip your hat to the Orange...when you are knocking down shots from half court...what are you going to do?
