Here is my dream for the '18 season...

WVU stays healthy this year. The offense pulls an OU like season of a year ago... forcing teams to keep up in scoring. This takes pressure off of the defense... allowing it time to grow in confidence. WVU earns a spot in the Big 12 championship game.

Prior to the game, Dana accepts HC gig with another school who fired its HC during the regular season.

After the Big 12 championship game is complete... Doc is announced as the next HC of WVU football.

The Mountaineers are gonna have it tough in their last four games of the season. The games are at Texas, TCU at home, at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma at home. It would be a surprise if they can win two of those games in that dreaded stretch. But, if Will Grier's healthy and if the defense shuts the opposing team's offense's down, they may have a chance of putting up more than seven wins.

It's a smaller sample size, though, which means things could balance out. Still, you should know that the Mountaineers are 16-22-1 ATS at home and 1-9 ATS at a neutral site since joining the Big 12. Now is when I tell you that West Virginia opens the 2018 season in a neutral site game against Tennessee. It's currently a 9.5-point favorite.
