How to fix a small gash type dent in car

No pain damage, looks like kiddo hit it with a bike handle....since its more of a gash, those suction things wont work right?

Get the bondo out and do it yourself.

Duct tape or caulk...either is a winner.

I'd go with the caulk. Then just paint over it with a brush.

Was trying to avoid caulk n paint it's a new car less than 3k in it

Drive around until you see an opportunity to sneak behind someone backing out that will hit the same part of the car that is damaged and have their insurance replace the whole fender/door or whatever is dented.
