In my 10 team money league, my opponent this week pulled a massive boner. Right before kickoff, he dropped his kicker who was in the starting lineup. He did add another kicker, but, the deadline passed before he entered the new kicker into his lineup, resulting in an illegal roster and 0 points for the week.

Nice win for me, but dam, that would suck.

I never understood zero points for not having enough starters anyway. Isn't missing a starter already a penalty?

This particular league is to avoid someone not starting a defense, since they regularly go negative. .but it's not limited to defenses

I agree. CBS does that and I think it is a bad rule. Yes, a defense can go negative, but you are only hurting yourself with an incomplete line-up.
