Gators are paying for 2 former head coaches Mullen and Napier.

Mullen they pay thru 2027.
Napier they pay thru 2029.

Gators could save money by quit firing and hiring coaches ... I mean they will have a losing season anyway ...

Let's see, Texas canned Mack Brown, then had Charlie Strong for 3 years and canned him. Then had Tom Herman for 4 years and canned him. Drunk Sark was their 4th head coach in 9 years. How many of those were they paying multiyear contracts after they'd been canned?

Retired. Lives near Orlando and is enjoying his millions. He visited UF and took a look at the newish facilities about a month ago.

I think Florida could do better than him and I hope they do.

In hindsight, many realize he was a much better coach than they gave him credit for at the time. He was winning 8 games against the toughest schedules in America and reeling in excellent recruiting classes. He stocked the cupboards which was a big factor in Urban Meyer choosing UF over Notre Dame. All but 1 of the starters on UF's 2006 national championship team were Zook recruits.
