Has everyone seen that Nashville suspended two players IN THE PLAYOFFS for violating the team curfew? And these were not 4th line pine brothers. Radulov and SK (I can't begin to spell, haven't had coffee) are top two line and PP regulars. Trotz called for them to be suspended when it was clear that they had violated the team's curfew when in Phoenix.
Can you imagine how different the history of the Flyers had been willing to pull the trigger on Carter and Richards (and Lupul and Upshal)? In Nashville it was a coaches call, not the GM, that the players be suspended. One wonders if Stevens, or Hitch, or Lavvy had tried to suspend any of the above for a game if there was a push back from above?
Just an interesting turn of events, and one that is refreshing to see a coach who actually holds players accountable for their off ice crap. Imagine how whiney Richards would have been, or sulky Carter would have been, if Stevens came out and said he was suspending them for a game, or two, for being out carousing at all hours the night before a big game?
