A dedicated thread to talk about how much they suck.

Tonight, Rondon and Soria fucked it up.

Ausmus doesn't know how to handle a bullpen.

The Tigers Suck Meter? That was a 10. (Out of 10).

Just saw Ausmus interview. All that punk-ass "it's just one-game, tomorrow we'll be back" shit. What a fuckin' pussy.

I'm sick of all this pussy-ass "we'll get 'em tomorrow" shit.

Fuck Ausmus, that piece of shit.

Rondon? That fat punk is a deer in the headlights who should be pitching at West Michigan.

That fat piece of shit needs to lose weight.

Oh yeah, and Soria?

That choking punk still has a job in the Majors?

Only the Tigers would be scraping the bottom of the barrel to the point of having a piece of shit like him as a closer.

He couldn't even get on the same page as Avila.

I have seen too many heartbreaking losses to remember 1 specific loss in 43 seasons. Sad

Wow. I'm glad I made this thread. Horrible game today.

Fire Ausmus and hire Gardenhire.

I'm not sure how religious Ausmus is, but he can always dust off that yarmulke and go back to managing in Israel.

Ausmus has to be fired before they start the 2nd half.

they suck enough, a 13+ rating, to begin preparations (maybe even some preparation H) to sell off notable pieces currently on their chess board.

Mr. Dombrowski says " we have a very good team and Ausmus is going nowhere". Is this guy for real or some "circus barker"?

To go from 5th in ERA to 13th in one month, the pitching is definitely pushing a 10 on the suck-o-meter. And unlike last season, they can't blame bad defense. The Tiger D has been top-notch.

Whatever confidence Greene acquired in Toledo was gone in the 1st inning. Too bad. The Tiger pitching coach or coaches have their work cut out. They have been relaxing for years with the previous pitching staff. With no Scherzer, Fister or Porcello they don't know what to do. Simon appears to be out of gas as was his history this far into a season, and Greene is lost. Without pitching and a better bullpen, the Tiger season may be lost too.

Tigers never recovered from the 6 run 9th in game 2. The rest of the series they rolled over and played dead.

I'll say it again, that fat piece of shit (Rondon) sucks ass.

Was Rondon ever good?

The fat punk is a media creation. The piece of shit can't get anybody out in the clutch.

The Tigers are under .500 for the first time since starting the 2013 season 1-2. First time under .500 after the All-Star break since 2010. With a $174 million payroll, that's a whole lotta underachieving.

You ain't kiddin', brother.

If they don't take, at least, 3 of 4 from Seattle--it's time to fire Ausmus (Gardenhire seems a logical replacement).

That way, the'd have a week to see how the current roster responds to a new manager before the trade deadline.

With that much high-priced talent underachieving--you have to look at the manager

Or the fact that Verlander got hurt and hasn't returned to form. Or the guys you got to replace Scherzer and Porcello (Simon and Greene) are garbage. I'll allow that Ausmus is PART of the problem, but not all of it. You can't go from 5 pretty reliable starters to 1 (maybe 2 when Anibal is on) and expect to compete.

He was signed through 2016, and for some reason there was this urgency to add 3 more years to that deal. I didn't get it then, and I get it even less now.

Firing Ausmus at this time isn't going to do much good outside of using him as a scapegoat. Yes, he's made many poor choices from our perspectitive. Firing him now could honestly back-fire for the young kids like Iggy, JD, Gose, McCann, Wilson, Hardy, Greene IMO. Maybe the real firing should have been PC Jones.

Gardenhire coming in as a temporary replacement is highly unlikely at this juncture of the season. Furthermore, having a week or even 10 days to see how a new manager can get this same roster to respond differently to the positive seems more in line with hope than wisdom. all jmho.

The #4 and #5 SP surely haven't lived up to what DD was hoping for nor has his choices panned out for the good with the BP. Nathan and Soria both had proven experience that they were worthy of signing and trading for. Many in here may not have made those choices but that's easy hindsight.

JV has had many good IP since coming back, however, we as fans mostly look back to his horrible 1 IP of 3 of his 6 outings to date. Where was the help JV needed and should have had to secure wins in (3) of his starts ?

well stated, imo

Or the fact that Verlander got hurt and hasn't returned to form

I'm still under the notion that the core surgery early on in 2014 still has some affect on him mechanically speaking and then as you pointed out his most recent injury in spring training (strained triceps).

Or the guys you got to replace Scherzer and Porcello (Simon and Greene) are garbage. You can't go from 5 pretty reliable starters to 1 (maybe 2 when Anibal is on) and expect to compete.

once again, imo, spot on assessment.

IMO, DD was hoping to strike gold on the cheap when he traded for Simon. In 2014, Simon did have QS in 16/18 pre-allstar game last year and QS in 6/14 after the break all the while 3 of the 8 starts post ASG, Simon had pitched 5.0 IP 2 ER, 5.0 2 ER IP, 5.1 IP 3ER.. In 2015, Simon had QS in 6 of his first 9 before imploding in 7 of his last 8 starts.
really look at those 2014 games of Simon
Alfredo Simon Game By Game Stats and Performance - Detroit Tigers - ESPN

you all are aware of his 2015
Alfredo Simon Game By Game Stats and Performance - Detroit Tigers - ESPN

How many times did Ricky P. have QS in 22/34 in any year ?

Don't get me wrong here as I'm not trying to defend DD in that trade as he could have easily looked back at Simon's 17 GS prior to 2014 and seen where it was a huge risk. He took a another chance on a vet pitcher that once again didn't come through.
