Now that gyms are closed. I am trying to do stuff at home but it isn’t the same.
I have a few dumbbells and a curl bar for some basic lifts and do pushups.
Run on the treadmill or ride a bike around the neighborhood for aerobic, and it is very hilly around us so the bike provides some strength training for the legs. Haven't come up with anything to replace the leg press, though.
Oops, did not even notice this was in a tennis forum....haven't played in 30 years!Hold the dumbbells while doing wall squats. Do enough of them and they will be way better then doing leg presses. Especially for tennis. Leg presses may make you stronger but will slow you down.

I have always been big on going heavy with leg work, used to leg press just over 1000lbs when young. Probably wouldn't hurt to focus more on agility at my age....will try your suggestion, thanks!
The heaviest I got up to in the leg press was eight plates on each side. That’s probably around 765lbs. I weigh about 165lbs.
As we get older we have to make adjustments. I fought it for a long time but I have accepted it now. Father time kicks everyone's ass eventually.
Prior to the pandemic I had been going to the gym only twice a week. My first day would usually be on Monday after I got done with my 8 hr shift at the hospital that would involve 4.5 mile steps ( tracked through phone app) and I would do squats and leg work along with some arms. The second day of the week I would usually go on Wednesday or Thursday and do upper body leg press and arms.
now I am trying to do 100 push-ups on one of the days of the week, five sets of twenty varying the palm placement ( diamond shape, wide and regular ) and incline and decline. The second day I try to do squats two sets each with kids sitting on my shoulder.
pushups and squats are great body weight exercisesI'm not.
Suggestions for 2 basic exercises? I don't have weights anymore.
One for upper body, one for lower body. And how many reps?
I just want something simple to start with, and see if I will do those. If I can do these for 15-20 minutes, that is a start.
I could get another weight set if it's best. Just tell me where I can get them for value, and not those 200% markups that @Hs0022 warned about.
that would get the heart pumping, for sure.Could "combine" them, and do some burpees

yesAre squats without weights still good?
