Then they'd have to deal Seager.

Not necessarily. But they have been linked to possibly wanting him and they have money so you never know

Marte was tendered by the Pirates. Wonder who he will be traded to?

Didi should be a hot commodity around the league. Good young SS. If he doesn't go back to the Yanks I wonder where he'll end up.

Somewhere, Clint Frazier mutters "What the F*ck?"

yeah I don't get it. Gardner had a nice offensive year and has had a great career with the Yanks, but his power surge feels like a product of the great home run barrage of 2019. especially when his 2019 ISO (.253) is more than 100 points above his career average (.141) and he's only had an ISO above the league average twice (other time was 2014).

Heard the Braves are making MadBum a priority.

He's my favorite player that has never been a Brave. I know he's not who he used to be, but I'd love to have him.

They should. Crippling the Sandbaggers, err...I mean the Red Sox, financially should be job 1 for the new GM.

The guy is from Tampa.

Don’t see that happening

Verlander found life after the Tigers .. Madison Bumgarten is younger.

Yeah, I have no idea what the Yankees will do this year. They had like 20 guys that had really good partial seasons offensively. Now they have a lot of guys who if they were with other teams would be starters this year, but the Yankees have so much talent I don't see how a lot of them will have a chance unless they have a million injuries again this year.

Like if Cliint Frazier had that season with some other team people would be penciling them in as a starter this year. Mike Ford looks like he would make a great DH for some team but the Yankees seem to have a bunch of 1b/DH types already. Miguel Andujar was supposed to be the 3b in 2019 but he ended up getting injured and Urshela ended up having a good season. So who plays in 2020. Stanton and Judge are there for a while but there's also Aaron Hicks.

This post is already getting into tldr territory so I'll wrap it up, but it seems like they have a lot of players that are good enough to be in the majors and of the age that they normally would be in the majors and not enough roster spots. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Bumgarner would be a good get for the Braves for sure. He'd really help to further solidify their roster.

Sadly, I think it means Didi has almost certainly played his last game in pinstripes, with Torres shifting over to SS for the foreseeable future. That allows them to play LeMeheiu pretty much exclusively at his natural position of 2B. Seeing some noise about converting Andujar to 1B, and while on the surface that makes sense as a large part of his defensive issues at 3B was throwing, but what does that do to the waitiing list of Voit, Ford, and Bird?

Similar overcrowding in the OF, especially if Gardner re-signs and Ellsbury is able to play.

Definitely going to be some trades this winter I'm guessing.

I wonder how much he has left in the tank.

The good news is he still had good spin rates. But the velocity being down means he’s probably done as an elite starter unless he finds the verlander fountain of youth.

Wonder when we see our first free agent signing this year. Hope we don't have a repeat of last year when we had top players waiting until March to be signed.

Probably will happen, besides whatever money they offer, it's close to home for him (NC) and he still lives there during the offseason.
