Desclafani has missed a lot of time for a guy that has never had surgery.

Is a guy returning from surgery more rusty than a guy that occasionally pitches in rehab? I don't know the answer, but it would seem the guy that pitches in March and the end of September may be a little sharper for whatever that's worth.

Not a bad gig if you enjoy rehabbing......
I guess.

He did well after that. Never allowed another runner on base , I think. All in all, He did much better than I thought he would do. To bad the bullpen had a meltdown.

Sending Winker to the plate, and him being thrown out by 20 ft was a bone head play and let the Rockies off the hook

Romano pitched better than the 5 ER suggest, but nonetheless the 5 runs spells defeat. He's got to do better.

His 5th inning was a glimpse of what he needs to do. He was tough when he got his fastball running arm side down and on the outside edge. That should be his bread and butter.

The Bailey PR blunder has thrown a wrench into this.
There is no good result now. Rehab as basically a punishment.

That's the 2nd time in the last week Gray has beaten the Reds. They are hitting the ball and getting on base but can't seem to score enough to knock him out of the game. Sort of frustrating

Over the last 10 games I have come to the conclusion, that this team just doesn't have the talent to compete with most teams in MLB. It's not just one thing. Every night it seems to be something else. The only time the Reds can get a win is if the opposing starting pitcher is having an off night. Or we play a team in a big slump like when they played LA.

I thought last year they were making progress, and this year they might be around 500 but instead they are a bust. There are some good players on this team, Very few are starting pitchers or outfielders. Not sure what can turn this around, But because I don't have much else to do. I will stay with them

I think there are 2 good pitchers here, 2-3 other decent ones and the rest flotsam.
The 3B and the C are worth keeping. I leave Votto off of this because nobody sees what he really is achieving.

That's a team made up of about 20 replacement level players. Scooter is playing better than he is. It's a 55-win team
