In his first week back since a month-long NFL suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances, Moch is putting a more defined slash between defensive end and SAM backer. A total of 12 pounds.

That's how much weight Moch put on while he served his suspension in the gyms of Clif Marshall (Ignition Sports) and Jim Riggs (Power3) in suburban Cincinnati. The 6-2 Moch, drafted as a 258-pound backer in the third round in 2011, says he's now at 270 pounds.

"I wanted to get more explosive at D-end," Moch said. "But I also did it maintaining my speed and I think I did that."

Just to make sure, Moch, who followed up his 4.4-second 40-yard dash at the scouting combine with a 4.31 at his University of Nevada pro day, lined up for a 40 when his suspension ended Monday at Paul Brown Stadium.

After running a 4.3, he's extremely anxious to get out there.
If he can give the Bengals anything close to the rushes from end that he gave them in the preseason with a team-leading 3.5 sacks, that would make the line rotation quite interesting with a man that big and fast.

Have you ever seen a DE who is 270 pounds and can run a 4.3 - 40?

I am thinking forget trying to make Moch a DE/LB...just hand him the f'n ball as our RB and lets see what the F he can do.

You imagine being a defensive player lining up to tackle a 270 pound RB who runs a 4.3 40?

Keep it simple with him...use him solely as a pass rusher. Only responsibility should be to sack the QB. I'm excited to see him on the field. I think he can definitely add to the pass rush

Cue Kramer saying how terrible Moch is in 3.....2......1.......

You ever wonder why a defensive end with 4.3 speed lasted until the 3rd round?

I didn't realize that one rounded a 4.45 down to a 4.4, like whoever wrote that seems to be doing with Moch's combine time.

He's raw...he played at Nevada and he went at the very top of the 3rd. Not saying he's the next Clay Mathews...but he did look good in the preseason which is encouraging. Think he had 4 sacks in those games.

I thought the questions about him were whether he could actually play linebacker or simply be a workout warrior. I suppose that will be a question until he does it. Hopefully he stays healthy.

Unfortunately 4.3 does nothing if you can't shed a block.

I see Moch was 'sick' again this week.

Yeah, let's go ahead and pencil him in as a future star.

If we do not establish the run game and get Maualuga out of the fucking lineup, we will be lucky to win 6 games. Dalton is a good little QB, but he is goign to continue to make more and more mistakes when they are forced to throw more often, and the opposing team only has to put 6 in the box to stop the run. I think our passing game is just fine, but it is goign to look worse and worse with no ground game and more pressure on Dalton.
