thanks Dash. too lazy to look around I guess. the peanut gallery continues then:

44 - I'm kind of offended to see R Neidermayer's name in the mix. One 60 points season 15 years ago, never passed 40 pts since.
76 - I'd put Subban above Peters already.
81 - heh. Satan owns Hossa has a nice ring to it.

9 and 19 are the toughest ones out there.

9 has two of the most legendary players in history and 19 has 4 guys who , IMO, could be legitimately picked.

For my two cents I'd take the Rocket for #9; his game was close to as good as Howe's, if not as good. What puts him over the top for me is the history he brings to the game. The riot and all the Cups makes him the best #9, IMO.

As for 19, I'm lost. I always tried to play like Trottier as a kid. As a teenager I loved Sakic and Yzerman's games. Larry Robinson is a top 10 player at his position, IMO, so maybe he deserves it. I'm at a loss for this one, so we'll go with team success and give it to Trottier on the strength of his 6 Cups.

me too.
given it's an NHL list on the NHL website, I gave them a pass.

I'm still not sure about Iggy over Cournoyer for #12 though. I guess Iggy has carried that team for a decade (and has better career stats already), but it's the freakin' Roadrunner!
