It's pre-season.
Most of the players dressed are either AHL bound or going back to the minors.

BUT IT IS FLYERS HOCKEY

I watched. The first period was oh so familiar...come out slow and sloppy and down multiple goals. Mason was better than the score suggests.

Cousins, Stolarz and both Schenn's looked good. Mez played a solid game.

What's the deal in the caps game? I can't get that one.

Looking fairly sluggish here in the third in Toronto. I had it on in the background for the first two periods. Heeter has played the whole game in net I believe. Jvr had a nice shot, schenn got a lucky bounce, and I didn't catch the other leafs goal.

Nice goal from Gervais there on the rush. Took it down the wing and sniped it.

Some nice goals from the youngsters in the shootout in Toronto. Noebels had a real nifty move too but hit the post.

I went to the Caps game.

Emery looked good.

Kimmo was Kimmo, Streit certainly has offensive skills, and Morin was phenomenal.

I was not too impressed with Vinny, other than his sexy goal. Couturier seemed to show some nice playmaking skills, and I found that Raffl and Akeson (Especially Akeson) where everywhere.

Also, Morin is a rail. For a 210 lb kid, he sure is skinny in his frame.

I have a feeling Raffl has an outside shot at making the roster, I like everything I have read about him so far.

I dont know how familiar you guys are with the Wells Fargo Center, but by the pro shop the each player on the Flyers roster gets their picture up on the wall. Take it for what it is worth, but Laughton was up there...

He certainly seems to have passed Laughton and McGinn, at least at this point. I also think Akeson has been very impressive, although I don't think he has much chance to make the team out of camp, as he's really a top 6 kind of winger. However, he probably has moved himself up the call-up list if a top 6 spot opens up.

i really like akeson too.. i hope he eventually cracks the roster (and not just because of an injury).. offensively he's very good

We know Giroux would like to see him on the roster.

With the surplus of young forwards we have is there any chance that we could make a trade for some young defenseman. The rags traded and came up with McDonah and Moore why cant we do the same.
