Apparently my call for the demise of the Ravens was a bit premature. Makes our win last Sunday look that much better..........

Steelers look like the same limp-dicked team they rolled out last year. O-line absolutely sucks. Miller is over the hill. Brown is the only reliable receiver. The D is a shell of its former self. The O-coordinator is too stupid to take advance of two talented running backs. Basically, they stink.

The only think keeping the Bengals from winning this division is injuries.

Scary, isn't it? We are easily the best team in this division. Just have to stay reasonably healthy, and out of our own way. Can't believe how much I overestimated Pittsburgh.

I called for a shoot-out..... I always figured Haley's offense would start to click and I vastly overestimated his ability to use Bell and Blount. I suppose the old adage about winning the line of scrimmage still remains true - They have some sketchy offensive line play.

The Ravens have a good team. If Flacco is awake and playing football (unlike most of last week), they are a winning club.

It is only 1 game into week 2. However, I was saying we were a much better team than a lot of you were willing to admit in the off season. I can't remember who else were positive except me and Cincy78.

We will see what happens though. We may have trouble with the Falcons if Burfict misses the game as he is said to have a chance of doing. I think Gio is going to be a gem this week though. 150 yards from scrimmage.

I agree on the Steelers, I think people have been overrating them for a few years now based on their name and giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I wanna see how Baltimore plays next week before I see how good they are. Last night could have been one of those "empty the tank" kind of games. Short week, hated division rival, the world hating them because of the Rice thing, all that could have been motivating factors for the game, but let's see what they have left. And it would be nice if they played a road game.

If I remember correctly both the Steelers and Ravens have traditionally struggled the week after playing one another. The fact that they have 10 days to get past the game might help here.

I said we'd be 9-7 and miss the playoffs -- I based this on the idea that either Pittsburgh or Baltimore would step up. That could still happen, but I'm less sure of that now.

As for us..... We have the same talent we did last year. Our talent is good. What we don't have this year is depth at a few key positions and it has a big chance of hurting us. I still think this could happen.

Wake me when you predict us to not be good, please.

How many playoff games have we won?

Must suck to wrong 100% of the time.

I predicted 10-6 in 2009. (We were 10-6) Division Champs
I predicted 8-8 in 2010. (We were 4-12) We blew but wound up with Green and Dalton because of it.
I predicted 6-10 in 2011. (We were 9-7) Wildcard
I predicted 10-6 in 2012. (We were 10-6) Wildcard
I predicted 11-5 in 2013. (We were 11-5) Division Champs
I predicted 12-4 in 2014.

I have not done too bad predicting the record for the last 5 years, which we have been to the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years. Granted, it has not resulted in any playoff victories, and while I am not okay with that, I am okay with the fact that by October I am not concentrating on the draft. The seasons have been more entertaining, and competitive and become better football to watch and enjoy.

I am not happy or satisfied with just making the playoffs, I want that win and a push for a SB too, but since this is based on you calling me out on when I haven't said we would be good, I felt it required some attention and a response.

I predicted we would do poorly with Jon Kitna at QB one year and I was crucified for "not being a fan"

it still hurts sometimes.

Steelers looked like crap last night. If I were a fan, I would be very concerned with the direction of the franchise over the last few seasons.

That being said, I still bet they take at least 1 from us.

Pitt looks terrible on defense.

Offense isn't much better.

Ravens still suck.

Seriously...with some luck, it's possible the Browns won't finish last in the division.

I won't taking anything away from a Thursday game especially this early in the season. The games are notoriously difficult for away teams and that's compounded by the players still getting into game shape and having to travel and play 4 days after playing their previous game.

Also, in the same way the game was a win-win for us as a few have mentioned, in the same way, it was a lose-lose. Now both of our division rivals are only 1 game back from us.

The first half of your post was right on the money, though I don't agree with the second half. We now have an edge on both of our main rivals for the division. A win at Baltimore, plus a win in the division the Steelers couldn't match. After just two weeks we are the only team undefeated in the division and the only team in the division with a road win.

Of course, we still have Andy Dalton. Time will tell us if that's good or bad.

We are only undefeated with a 1-0 record though. We have not played that second game like Baltimore and Pittsburgh have. We have to win to maintain that slight edge.

I called 10-12 wins:yahoo:. During preseason cut day I remember thinking there wasn't an obvious position group they could target on the waiver wire. It's just an all around strong roster. With that said it's way too early to feel confident in my pick. Steve Smith has much more left in the tank than I though he did before the season. Owen Daniels is also brining something to that Ravens passing game. The Ravens outplayed us in the 2nd half and are tougher than I thought. I have no clue what's going on in Pittsburgh but Ben always gives them a puncher's chance in any game
