former pessimistic homer
Apparently my call for the demise of the Ravens was a bit premature. Makes our win last Sunday look that much better..........
Steelers look like the same limp-dicked team they rolled out last year. O-line absolutely sucks. Miller is over the hill. Brown is the only reliable receiver. The D is a shell of its former self. The O-coordinator is too stupid to take advance of two talented running backs. Basically, they stink.
The only think keeping the Bengals from winning this division is injuries.
Scary, isn't it? We are easily the best team in this division. Just have to stay reasonably healthy, and out of our own way. Can't believe how much I overestimated Pittsburgh.

I agree on the Steelers, I think people have been overrating them for a few years now based on their name and giving them the benefit of the doubt.
I wanna see how Baltimore plays next week before I see how good they are. Last night could have been one of those "empty the tank" kind of games. Short week, hated division rival, the world hating them because of the Rice thing, all that could have been motivating factors for the game, but let's see what they have left. And it would be nice if they played a road game.
It is only 1 game into week 2. However, I was saying we were a much better team than a lot of you were willing to admit in the off season. I can't remember who else were positive except me and Cincy78.
We will see what happens though. We may have trouble with the Falcons if Burfict misses the game as he is said to have a chance of doing. I think Gio is going to be a gem this week though. 150 yards from scrimmage.

Wake me when you predict us to not be good, please.
How many playoff games have we won?
Must suck to wrong 100% of the time.
I predicted we would do poorly with Jon Kitna at QB one year and I was crucified for "not being a fan"
it still hurts sometimes.
I won't taking anything away from a Thursday game especially this early in the season. The games are notoriously difficult for away teams and that's compounded by the players still getting into game shape and having to travel and play 4 days after playing their previous game.
Also, in the same way the game was a win-win for us as a few have mentioned, in the same way, it was a lose-lose. Now both of our division rivals are only 1 game back from us.
The first half of your post was right on the money, though I don't agree with the second half. We now have an edge on both of our main rivals for the division. A win at Baltimore, plus a win in the division the Steelers couldn't match. After just two weeks we are the only team undefeated in the division and the only team in the division with a road win.
Of course, we still have Andy Dalton. Time will tell us if that's good or bad.
