Hiring David Shaw

I will say the owners of the Broncos are conspicuously investing in making the Broncos a 1st rate team and profession destination. A number of positions have been added prior to Shaw's hiring and they are building a top Dove Valley facility. It's not clear what the plan for Shaw is, but the administrative bases were touched in that George Peyton hired him and he reports to George Peyton - it is also reported that Sean Payton signed off on the hire.

This year - it looks like the Broncos have multiple guys who are going to make the 53 as UDFA - and the Broncos just signed UFL Edge sensation Tillman to a sweet 3-year deal - if he is actually an NFL player.

What do you guys think?

I would say all the boxes .. He is a solid person With a decent background most of all .

The Stanford ties give me pause, and Shaw hasn't done much for anyone lately. But if it was truly a Paton hire and not a Condi/Penner/Payton hire, I guess I'm fine with it.
Surely Paton understands there is such a thing as hiring yourself out of a job.
