I didn't like the pass on 3rd & 1 either. He was between a rock and a hard place on the TO at the end. That was a 61 yarder. Can't be sure they're not going to go for it, then you've blown a TO and any chance to get the ball back if they make the 1st down. 38 seconds with 3 TOs is enough time to move it into FG range. Tonight was on Staff & Calvin. But yeah, I've seen enough of Schwartz & Co.

In today's NFL 31 seconds is possible, but not a given. Stafford has some flaws. My hopes is that he is young and will get better. Linehan seems to have done all he can for Matt, it is time to move on. Why wouldn't we run some formations where we put Reggie as a receiver and have Bell in the back field? That would be a nightmare for defenses. Oh well another season down the drain.

That's what gets me. We ran OK all night. We have really emphasized the run this season more than ever. So what do we do when we need two yards? We go empty backfield. Shit, we could have utilized play action if we had a RB in the backfield. Probably got a big play.

This is one of the most talented teams in football. Schwartz obviously did some good but he isn't a great coach. He's good at evaluating talent but not good at coaching it. That's how I see it and I'm no hater of your team. I think you guys have all the pieces to be a front runner.

The problem may be that Calvin is so good, usually, that Linehan has become lazy. Most offensive coordinators have more plays that try to create openings in the field for certain receivers. Stafford has become too reliant on throwing to CJ in one on one coverage. Why not run more routes where you throw back shoulder? Don't expose CJ to big hits every play and also make it even harder for the DBs. Set them up for double moves, etc. we don't do that.

Called for a back shoulder lob on the two point. But Staff doesn't know what touch is. There's plenty to lump on Scotty. But his QB hasn't played like a winner since October. (Im not counting GB)
