I just wanted to let you know that I read the thread on the ESPN boards "Smart and Curry.... Something Bad Brewing". I though your analysis of jdhinks' "facts" post was one of the best posts that I have seen on that board in the past year.

I commend you not only for your knowledge of the game, but your ability to maintain an even keel when morons like that spew ignorance.

Bravo.

Thanks, man. Nice of you to post that. I see the Warriors' ESPN Board as salvageable because of guys like you, tzill, Chuck, Bill, so money, Colin, wakeboardersac and a few others. Of course, that's how I felt about the Giants' Board until everybody worth conversing with came over here.

I won't bang my head against the wall too much longer, but if one guy can move towards generating a cohesive, logical argument for their assertions where I've never seen them do it before, a small part of me feels like there is hope for the board... and maybe the world. :)

I realize that is a lot to put on a sports message board, but the ability to formulate a reasonable expression of opinion is fundamental to a prosperous society, and I don't see our public school system doing a very good job of accentuating its importance. I'm not naive enough to believe that any of this is more than just entertainment for slow moments at work, but I'd like to think I'm not just wasting time blathering about my favorite sports teams. At the very least, I enjoy discussion and sharing moments with good fans. Now, if the Warriors could just make more of those moments a little less frustrating... :)
