It's not a rivalry. Wisconsin's not legendary enough to be NU's rival. Not anytime soon anyway. Oklahoma (legendary) was Nebraska's rivalry. They were a mutually respected rival. Texas was a rival to many Husker fans but more for dislike. Texas is also legendary tho.
Nebraska needs to establish rivalry with the legendary B1G schools, Michigan, Ohio St., Penn St because that's who'll be playing for future championships just like they played for the plethora of past championships. Nebraska has been 2nd/3rd tier for a decade and the motivation to beat legendary champions will be what makes them a better team.

We're not a rivalry because our rivals are Iowa and Wisconsin, and despite how intense the Husker fan base was for a year, and how much some of you have been looking forward to this game, we still care more about beating Michigan and Ohio State than we do about beating Nebraska, let alone our actual rivals.

Michigan Nebraska will likely be much more heated/meaningful than Nebraska Wisconsin in the long run.

And one more thing: You don't go looking for a rivalry and you don't just proclaim two teams rivals. It just happens. All of us Husker fans know this. I'm really not sure what the point of this thread is or what you are getting at.
