I was watching NHL on the Fly the other night and they shwoed the Canes highlights. Instead of it being the regular Cane feed they showd Canevision.

Please tell me you dont have to watch that tinted yellow, raspy feed.

no, no, no, no, no, no, no... I know exactly what you are referring to though.

Was just one of those weird anomalies where neither team was broadcasting the game on TV. So wasn't a TV feed from Carolina or Nashville to use. So they used the in-house cameras.

I really liked it though, because the paired it with Chick Kaitons radio play by play, which is always great.

Can never do that during a regular game, since there is always a slight lag in the TV broadcast that makes Chuck seem clairvoyant.

But his radio call with the visual feed was awesome. Wish they would do that more. :-(

I liked the guys voice, but besides that I wasnt too fond of it.

Hell, I am a Flyers fan. (Note the SN) So if you like it, it is good. (You're the Canes fan.)

he is one of those dudes that insists on correct pronunciation, especially with the Fins, Russian, Euros, etc.

hence, he alway's says sam-SON-ov, ka-PA-nen, etc. Accenting different syllables than we are used to hearing.
