True, but the thing working in favor for ASU and Herm is that the Pac 12 is the worst conference in the country right now. That South division is wide open for anybody to take down and ASU looks like they could do it.

His cupboard wasn't empty when he showed up either. He's inheriting a 3rd year starter at QB, a receiver duo that combined for nearly 2,000 yards last year (one of whom is a likely 1st round draft pick), a corner who made All Conference as a true freshman and a defensive line that looks pretty stout so far. Renell Wren didn't have a killer statline, but he mauled MSU's interior OL.
