In a debate where i am arguing with a guy that the 22 Panthers top skill guys are at lost as good as the 21 Browns of everyone is healthy

This stems from me starting i thought Mayfield landed in a decent spot as far as what he had around him RB and WR wise it evolved into this

So help me out. Maybe I'm crazy and I'm the only one who thinks Carolinas skill guys are a good or better than last years Browns

Assuming health

Pick these 6 guys in the order you'd draft them if you were picking a team

22 Christian McCaffery
21 Nick Chubb
22 DJ Moore
22 Robby Andersen
21 Odell Beckham
21 Jarvis Landry

Rank them 1-6

Panthers dude better hope his job isn't scheduling a drug test for him. Where are the Panthers better off outside of WR? I don't think it's a huge gap at WR either.

Panthers OL is a meme compared to the Browns' OL.

That's the debate though. Skill guys only. How would you rank those 6 if you were drafting? Assuming everyone plays 17 games

Still Browns because of TE's which do count, imo. WR's are close, give the Panthers a slight edge there.

Chubb>>>>>>>>> McCaffrey

If we start accounting for the OL's, the gap starts getting pretty big pretty fast. In real life, the Panthers are a noticeably worse roster than the Browns (so would most teams, for that matter) and it'd be borderline blasphemous outside of WR to say Panthers>Browns

Skill spots you got to go with Browns.

While your list of skill players may be comparable.
The Browns #2 RB is a #1 RB for a ton of teams.
I dont even know who the Panthers TEs are anymore.

Lol you're missing the point

We are solely talking skill guys

Obviously Cleveland roster overall is better

I was telling the guy i thought if you were drafting from those 6 that itd be

Chubb 1
CMac 2
Moore 3
Andersen or
Landry 4 and 5
OBJ 8

He thought that was crazy and everyone would take OBJ and Landry over Moore and Andersen

So I'm just trying to see if I'm crazy lol

Nah, I am telling you even in the confines of your question, it's still pretty crazy. Feels almost like cherry picking to me.

Odell by himself is still a problem. Thought we were past that bit after the playoffs last year.

Landry is an ok, but nothing special.

People's Jones is a factor.

DJ Moore Robby Anderson are an underrated duo, imo. I'd take them over the 21 Browns WR's, but not by very much. Add in Njoku/Hooper for the Browns and it's still not all that close, imo. There's no way to spin the Panthers as anything but a worse situation than Baker was in last year. Skill positions, OL, the whole 9 yards.

most important for Baker is how good is the Panthers play caller? Be the 1st to admit I know nothing of their play caller or who that is.

You also can't overlook that the Browns entire stable of RB's is much better. Although Hunt was hurt much of last year

CMAC when healthy is one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL but is he going to be healthy?
You seem to be forgetting Kareem Hunt.

I am taking the CLE rushing attack.

WR's are closer. Moore is underrated, Anderson is alright. Landry is somewhere in the middle of those two, a healthy OBJ is better than any weapons listed but I'm not sure his head was in the game. We will say a wash or CLE has the upperhand barely bc of the TE position.

OL has to be considered as well. CLE OL is much better.

I think it is CLE but in no landslide.

After 2 straight injury plague seasons expecting CMac to stay healthy this season is very optimistic.
but that wasnt the question
but without considering the whose the QB its a dumb argument
as always rb/wr are only as good as the rest of team OL/QB

True that wasn't the question but kind of silly not to have health in the equation because if one team has terrible luck with health and the other has good luck with health your not comparing apples to apples. Football is a team sport and the whole roster matters. Even a defense that provides short fields to the offense is a boon to the offense.

Everyone healthy?

1-2 Flip a coin between Chubb and McCaffrey
3) OBJ, but how likely is he to ever be healthy?
4) Moore
5) Landry
6) Anderson

Might add Hunt and make him 3 or 4.

since we are talking healthy I don't think anderson is close but Moore is on par with OBJ/Landry, sure.
