Okay, Iowa is no TV that great when compared to the top teams in the country. They may crack the Top 25 when B1G tourney comes around. May not be Iowa's best team in last few seasons. But it is an exciting season's end for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa only lost 1 B1G series this season, going 1-2 vs Minnesota (who has not lost a B1G series and is sitting at #1 in B1G). Iowa went 1-1 with Indiana and Nebraska with a 3rd game cancelled. Iowa has a series vs Northwestern (12th in B1G) and Penn State (13th in B1G, B1G has 13 teams). NW's only series win is vs PSU and PSU only has 3 B1G wins.

If Iowa sweeps, they could move up to 3rd or 4th seed for B1G. Heller is good at getting the team to peak at the right time.

Then no raise. Iowa went 1-2 vs the 2nd-to-worst in conference and are at 7th right now. Best seed is 6th and worst is 7th.

Losing the series to NW hurt. Iowa dropped enough in RPI to not get at large. Maybe good showing in B1G might get them in. What is crazy is Iowa is this...

I hope Iowa wins, at least, one of their first two games. I am planning on going to Omaha (B1G Tourney) with my mom and grandpa but have to leave Thu when my mom gets off work. If Iowa was 8th seed and upset the #1, we could make their 2nd game.

What's bad about that is RPI in baseball and softball, for that
matter is almost "gospel." They don't vary their seeding and/or
selections of at-large a whole lot from RPI.

IDK what it is. Iowa goes winning series vs Michigan and Oklahoma State (Big 12's top team) to losing a series to Northwestern (12th in B1G). Barely beat Western Illinois a few days ago.

Even with 4 pitchers injured, Iowa should have swept NW. I see there is a rumor Iowa still could get an at large if they sweep PSU. I think Iowa has to beat a top 4 seed at B1G Tourney, maybe 2, to get an at large added to PSU sweep.
