In what was a season like no other, things did not end as we would have wanted for the Heat -- still, some would argue it ended better than expected.
The Heat overcame as much as they could -- for as long as they could. It just wasn't meant to be. As a 5th seed getting to the finals, the Heat proved they had more than enough to get to where they got -- it just wasn't enough on the night they needed it most.
Our young guys showed their worth. Our veterans showed their worth. Spo and the rest of his coaching staff once again showed their worth. Unfortunately, this will serve as more fuel for the ignorant haters and doubters to criticize Spo - but his post-game reaction last night shows with this situation and organization mean to him. His legacy is set in stone with this organization.
The Heat, once again, has A LOT to build off of -- maybe more than they have in the past(including the championship seasons). Let's see what the off-season has to offer to help the Heat get over the hump again. They are obviously closer to it than many thought - and many more are willing to admit.
