Why are you guys so obsessed with the Lakers?

You do understand there's no real rivalry between the Heat and Lakers, right? Besides, I still don't get why you chose to spend so much time talking about a team you profess to not care about.

You do understand there's no real rivalry between the Heat and Lakers, right? Besides, I still don't get why you chose to spend so much time talking about a team you profess to not care about.

Don't flatter yourself. I choose the Lakers as the team to compare to because them and the Heat were the top favorites to win the title before the season began. So it's only fitting that I compare those two. Of course there's a little bit of satisfaction in doing it knowing so many people on here are Lakers fans that bashed the Heat in the first year of the Big 3. Not sure if you heard of the Heat Haters Club. Well it's basically a bunch of old Lakers fans beating off to one another when the Heat lose a game - which was not often this season. So yea, I'm getting in my shots now that I can.

It's absolutely incredible. Every morning I get up and these guys accomplish the impossible: they spew even more juvenile bullshit and bitterness at either the Lakers, Heat, Lebron or Kobe. At first I was really excited to see what I thought were a bunch of lovers of the game come here but now I'm really disappointed because allot of these clowns are just unskilled trolls and it's already getting really boring.

I grew up loving the Showtime Lakers with an obsessive Celtics-loving father. We stopped speaking every year when the playoffs started (and the Lakers usually swept the West to sit and wait on a Championship contender) and anytime we'd win it all, my Dad would always mention the banners in the Garden and how no one would ever have that many. Well, Celtics fans are scared shitless because when they don't have that to brag about anymore, they'll have nothing but a perennial loser with the worst GM in all of professional sports. It's going to be a long, long time and many lottery picks before Boston ever contends again. The Lakers are one team-player away from going on a run again.

Back in the 80's, one of my closest friends was a die-hard Celtics fan. We used to watch every Lakers/Celtics game together, whether it was regular season or finals!! There was a sports bar that we used to go to that was mostly Laker fans, but with enough Celtics fan to make it fun and interesting!! Used to be some epic trash talk!!
