UCLA welcomes Hawaii to the Rose Bowl on Saturday.

The Bruins are coming off one of the greatest comebacks in NCAA history, erasing a 34-point deficit against Texas A&M in their season opener to earn a 45-44 victory. Quarterback Josh Rosen was huge for UCLA, going 35-for-59 for 491 yards and four touchdowns, while tight end Caleb Wilson caught 15 of those balls for 208 yards.

Hawaii sits at 2-0 thanks to a 41-18 win over Western Carolina last week and a 38-35 triumph over UMass two weeks ago. Against Western Carolina, Hawaii running back Diocemy Saint Juste rushed for 202 yards and a touchdown on 25 carriers.

BS call, he never launched and partially and attempted to lead with the shoulder, the helmets did make contact, but it was without malice for sure.

Very encouraged by this game.

I was wondering how the Bruins would do in this game, the Rainbow Warriors can run the ball and the Bruins defense did better than I expected.

Also the Bruins run game finally showed up.

When you are the 127 out of 128 CFB teams in rushing last year, and struggle in your opener at home to run the ball, it doesn't matter who is on the schedule for the next game. You either make significant adjustments or you come to terms that not much has changed from the previous season in rushing.

The Bruins finished the game with 132 rushing yards and a 5.1 ypc average.

Doesn't sound great, but I can't remember the last time they broke a 100 yards rushing as a team. I think it may go back to the 2015 season.

Oh well time to hit the road and take on Memphis, hopefully it's another game like today, except we get more rushing yards and see more of Modster...

Think Jackson will get the Heisman again.

Doubt Rosen will.....I expect us to be about 7-5 or 8-4 and don't think Rosen will get it due to the overall record of the team. Heisman winner is usually on a National contender.

Like I said earlier, this game was encouraging because they made positive strides both running the ball and stopping the run.

DJ, I think they have a fighter chance, provided they finally get past Stanford in our Conference Opener (They are due) to go into the Washington game without a loss.

If they can do that, they will be flying high so they could come home from Seattle with a win!

That would put them at 8-0 (5-0) and by then Josh could even be the front runner if his play continues on a high level.

You know, I've seen a much different Mora this year.

Mora seems to be stoic now when he talks, that rah rah dude we've seen in the past is MIA this year.

I've wondered out this, and I couldn't decide if he was more conceding his fate of a do or die season, or if it is the quite confidence.

So far, it's been the latter of the two, but there certainly is a personality change in his demeanor when interviewed.
