Well...good, bad or indifferent he has to make a move
at QB. This week is his best chance to do that and survive
any mistakes that Blackman would make. (No Ill)

The only way to slow down the defenses is to force them to account
for the QB. He is not going to let Francois run, he has to go to
Blackman. Hockman transferred after he gave the starting spot
tp Francois. I was told by two people that Hockman fit his offense
better than either QB.

Besides getting one man out-of-coverage or rushing the QB, it will
make the back side end respect the read option. Defenses, with
Francois, don't even worry about him running they just go for the
RB. The O-line is bad, but it doesn't help when we are telegraphing plays.

Option offenses are for teams with weak OL's. But option offenses
present more than one option to the defense. He can present
more than one option if he benches Francois.

Blackmon definitely got better towards the end of last year, but you really think he will do any better than Francois? Francois, when he has time, is a pretty effective passer. If the QB doesnt have anytime, it doesnt matter who is behind center.

It really isn't about Blackmon. It's about what Francois won't/can't
do...which is make the defense account for him.

Blackmon doesn't look the part but he can run. The coaching staff
doesn't want to risk Francois' knee by him running the ball, except in
a safe situation.

The defense knows that. Thus when they rush they don't have
to worry about him taking off. They don't need somebody to
"spy" him. They don't py any attention to him on the read option,
which means they all go for the rb.

They are outnumbering our OL and thus gaining an advantage
every down. The OL isn't very good, but we make it look worse
than it is, because the D doesn't have to account for the QB.

The offense is supposed to be a quick strike attack. When we
utilize that, we move the ball. Send 4 receivers 10 yards on come-back routes. You can deliver the ball quick and the receivers
are open. Take the 7 yards each down.

I'm not thrilled with the coaching I've seen, as far as fundamentals, but the playcalling is atrocious.

In the end, though...Francois has not been able to move the team
against FBS teams. They have to find somebody that can.

I think Nebraska this season will make me feel like Bad Superman. And may destroy my not-super liver.

Yeah, that dood can drink all he wants, it's not fair

But, he also has to live forever, so he gets to see his favorite football team sucking for hundreds of seasons
