The Bucks have the best record in the league.

If they aren't going "balls to the wall" then I would say that should 100% cement Giannis as the game's best player today.

I realize Giannis isn't perfect and he needs to develop his shot. But even without a consistent 3 point shot he is still completely unguardable.

LeBron was starting to get recognized for being the league's best player around his age 24 season also. And his numbers back then were not quite as impressive as Giannis today, IMO.

The torch has passed. It is only a matter of time before you all get on board.

For the first time, I fully support a non-LeBron MVP. It should be Giannis.

    LOL.

    Not even close.

I thought OKC was going to try to get the ball out of his hands early like they did at the beginning of the game. What Harden is doing right now is insane. I am not a Harden fan, but damn he is good.

I've been saying Giannis was the MVP since November/December.

I'm also not sure what more the Bucks can do to go "balls to the wall"

They have done everything they can to improve their roster this year.

    Yes and no.

Lebron is still capable of being that dominating force, but I think he may be holding back a little to let his teammates develop. At this point, maybe hoping they increase their trade value.

Also, he's just back from that groin injury and is just working on getting his wind back and trying not to push it too hard and risk re-injuring it.

I still consider him the best all around player in the game. And he's had the title for years now.

Yeah, I agree with @tlance re: regular season Lebron not being the best player in the game. Regular season Lebron hasn't been the best in the game for a couple of seasons at least (except for maybe last year when he played all 82).

LeBron's dome is lookin' luxurious this year. Good to see he finally found the right hair replacement center in LA LA Land.

    :pound:

I saw him being interviewed after the Celtics game and I don't even know what he said because I was busy looking at him and thinking "Did he have hair replacement? If he did, Wamu's gonna have a field day". lol

After last years performance of getting beat by a 20 year old Tatum in the first round of the playoffs Giannis hasn't passed anyone he needs to get to the finals and win a ring

if i had to pick one guy to win one game in the entire NBA it would still be LeBron.

However, that margin has not been this thin in a LONG LONG LONG time.

    Since probably what? 2007?

LeBron has been the NBA's best player for an insane stretch. At LEAST a decade....arguably since 2006.

That's some funny shit right there. What's scared of, does the remainder of his real hair give him his NBA super powers? Fella should just shave his dome.

But w/ that fake hair of his he only has to convince 1 person it looks good. I bet he's always looking in a mirror making sure no other hair has fallen out.

That fella's quickly climbing my NBA shit-list. He's gonna be a problem for the Celtics for many years. Philly should trade him.

The difference is regular season Lebron seems to be getting worse and worse. Last year, regular season Lebron was still able to win 50 some games. This year they are on pace for 40. I am not sold the west is better than the east either. The east has a better record against the west and the top teams in the east outside of GS are likely better. Will he step up in the playoffs (that is if they make it) probably, but it will be diminishing returns each year as the playoffs go on. That is still pretty good, but not enough to really challenge the top 5-6 teams in the NBA.

Do you ever look anything up before making a comment? LeBron played all 82 games last year in a much weaker EC. This year he's missed 18 games. Think that might have something to do w/ his #'s this year?

The Cavs didn't win "50 some games" last year. They won 50.

And the Lakers are @ .500 right now. Which means they're on pace for 41 W's & not 40. Although I think the Lakers will win more than 41 games this season if they can stay healthy the rest of the way. I said 46 when the season started.

I don't have time to look up every stat lol

Lebron missed plenty of games in other seasons and they won over 50. There is also a giant difference between 50 to 50+ wins and 41 wins (If they get that). The west is not 10 games better.

Like every year, he doesn't need to push himself in the regular season like these young guys trying to prove something. I mean he knows this LA team is young and they need to develop. Once the playoffs roll around it's the same old thing...Lebron starts dominating. I don't see this year being any different.

You have to take into consideration that he missed 18 games due to injury this season and played in all 82 last year.

When Lebron and Rondo got hurt, the Lakers were sitting in the 4th spot, were on pace for 50 wins and some of the talking heads were starting to predict that the Lakers would make the WCF.
