I am switching from right hand to left due to a lingering shoulder injury. Just wondering if anyone has switched playing hands and what the experience was like.

You talking about golf clubs?

Or are you talking about actually trying to switch your dominant arm/hand use for everyday tasks?

I'm right-handed but always swung a bat or a hockey stick from the right side (left-handed). Could never control a set of left handed golf clubs so I always played right-handed. If you're right dominant, it will take years of thought before doing anything. You'll have to actually think about using your left hand to open a bottle of pickles or twist off a bottle cap.

Best way to switch is to tape your fingers and thumb to the palm of your hand force yourself to use the opposite. See how easy it is to cut a steak and eat from the non dominate side.

Yes but I am fairly Ambidextrous so it was not a huge deal. Just serving was a little weird turned the other way.

I still hit left handed forehands when I get tired.

Played some tennis with my son today after a long time. Rallied from mid court to mid court because he is a beginner. Used my left arm for single handed forehands and double handed backhand. It could get better, not sure. For him if he keeps at it it will get much better I can tell. Hope he starts to take a bit more interest in the game.

It does take a lot of reps but is very doable. Look at Nadal. He is right handed but learned to play left handed.
